The Maharani’s Last Portrait

A priceless portrait was unveiled. Minutes later, its owner was dead.
After remaining hidden for nearly eighty years, the final portrait of Maharani Devyani is being revealed at a private exhibition. Only a handful of collectors, historians and members of the royal family are invited.
During the unveiling, the gallery’s owner collapses and dies. At the same moment, the original portrait is secretly replaced with a near-perfect forgery.
A coded diary, an altered family tree and a hidden message beneath the painting suggest that the artwork contains more than historical value.
Was the victim killed for the portrait, the secret concealed inside it—or something far more personal?
